Kyle Loranger Design (KLD) is a graphic design firm that was founded in 1994 by Kyle Loranger in Edmonton, Alberta.
Kyle and the KLD team love working with growing businesses and are especially successful at building strong, ongoing relationships with clients. When you work with KLD, you will have direct contact with our staff in a professional and comfortable atmosphere. We are continuously growing and staying one-step ahead of the rapidly evolving graphic design, website design and digital marketing industry and look forward to working with you.
Meet our team
Kyle Loranger
Owner, Creative Director
Over the last 25 years, Kyle has worked with hundreds of clients to deliver impactful effective communications and marketing solutions. From logos to advertising, publications to websites, he has delighted his clients with the clarity he brings to every project.
Being a studio principal has given him endless opportunities to go behind the scenes in all kinds of businesses. He’s seen what makes them tick and what marketing solutions have worked best.
Kyle is an active social dancer, and helps produce community west coast swing dances. He also teaches west coast swing at Footnotes Dance Studio.
Kyle graduated from the University of Alberta in 1993 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He and his wife Leanne have two children, Will and Owen.
Gwendoline Hunka

Gwen is a community‑minded Edmontonian and communications professional whose career spans the arts, finance, and healthcare sectors. She has supported leaders at every level, from students to C‑suite executives, and brings a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and belonging to all aspects of her work.
Alongside developing corporate strategies and crafting social media content, Gwen is a budding photographer with a passion for capturing abandoned architecture, northern lights, and candid moments at community events.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta (2015) and a Public Relations Diploma from MacEwan University (2018). In her spare time, Gwen enjoys travelling and expanding her language skills, currently exploring French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Norwegian.
History of Kyle Loranger Design
After freelancing his way through design school, Kyle briefly worked for a local design studio but found that having direct client contact was going to be a better way to go.
He started working from home, but quickly expanded KLD to an office in the Canadian Western Bank Place on 103rd Street and Jasper. A few years later, KLD moved to the vibrant 124th Street in Edmonton and has been there, along with his team, for almost 20 years.
Since opening in 1994, Kyle Loranger Design (KLD) has maintained a keen interest in logo development projects because they bring out the most interesting and original characteristics of clients and their businesses. Logo design has often been the first project that brings clients through the door, leading to bigger projects like marketing materials and website design. Happy clients have led to referrals and long-term relationships sustaining the business over two decades.
As technology has evolved, so has KLD. Kyle and his team started to design for the web in the early 2000’s and followed along while the web industry found its feet. Along the way, KLD built websites using a variety of methods and systems and programming partners. In 2012, all of the web work was taken in-house to gain better control over output and speed up development time. KLD continues to build all websites in-house using the world’s most popular web building platforms – WordPress.
A combination of design skills and coding knowledge gives KLD the ability to provide in-depth design services to clients including: logo design, print design and website design. Kyle and his team stay one step ahead of the rapidly changing digital trends and looks forward to working with you!
