Parodos had been operating for over 10 years as a communications and writing firm, and was doing well securing contracts. But Marliss, the owner, had gotten to the point where she was embarrassed to refer clients (or anyone) to her ancient, creaky website. And her focus was shifting away from corporate writing assignments to social media management. In looking at the website design, it also made sense to update the logo to anchor the new design.
Parodos engaged KLD to redesign the logo, create an overall look for the company and develop a new, modern website.
For the logo KLD developed a colourful, super-modern wordmark to reflect the personality of the owner. The clever tag line of ‘we’ll keep you posted’ was developed by Parodos.
KLD proposed a ‘long-page’ WordPress site, with the main navigation referring users to distinct sections further down the home page instead of separate pages. The hits of colour and animation details give the site a trendy feel to match the up-to-the-minute trendyness of the social media industry.
The site hits all the key points the website for a small consulting firm should do: It clearly says what services it offers and for who, provides testimonials to characterize the experience of working with Parodos, and relevant case studies from recent clients.
