Your website should be bringing you a steady drip-drip-drip of new inquiries! How do you do this? Make an investment in doing some keyword research, then tweak your website to make sure those key search terms are in there.

Here are three quick tips that you should be doing on your website to help you get found.

1.    Use hyper-specific location keywords.

While it’s great that you are a CrossFit gym in Edmonton, it’s even better to use some more location-specific keywords throughout your website such as CrossFit gym downtown Edmonton or CrossFit gym near MacEwan University.

2.    Use product-specific keywords. 

Using general terms throughout your site is fine, but also be sure to incorporate particular features and benefits of your products and/or services. For example, if you sell ‘protein powder’, you should also include brand names or specific features such as ‘gluten-free protein powder’ or ‘plant-based protein powder.’

3.    Include plain English questions that customers actually ask. 

Many people search with full phrases or questions such as ‘Where to go in Calgary with kids’ or ‘Best dance studios in Red Deer.’ Use common phrases and questions regarding your service or products on your website.
